El Toro specialized in targeted marketing and needed artwork for the front cover of a company document. Amidst the height of the election and political advertisements, the theme was to create two posters of the same design, representing the two political parties by using their colors in opposition.

My main focus was on the bull and delivering a strong pose on a historically political backdrop. In all my early sketches, I knew I wanted the bull’s horns to frame the top of the Capitol building with sweeping clouds for added drama.

The bull was created with a digital sketching pencil inside of ProCreate. Its illustrative lines and style were inspired by vintage animal drawings found in anatomical reference studies.
