The Nest was a project that was truly a fluid and positive experience. The goal and task at hand was to create a space for creatives to feel relaxed and comfortable. This slowly translated into a natural inner-city oasis that was home to live-edge book shelves, raw wood coffee tables, and hanging egg chair hammocks. Fueled by a soundtrack of Jose Gonzales, John Butler Trio, and Trevor Hall, this wall materialized into the mellow form shown in the video below.

There were several color options, but I ultimately landed on the monochrome blue and a slate grey for the bird and a vibrant orange for the flowers which would allow the wall to really pop. The line work involved was challenging, but rewarding, as I used a rigger brush for the first time which allowed me to create the long, seamless strokes.
