Sebastian Inlet has been a surfing hub in Florida for many decades now and was once home to many surfing events that propelled local talent into the almighty World Surf League. When the WSL announced that it was once again returning to Florida in the form of the Florida Pro Surf Competition, it came as a great surprise and pleasure to many. It could only be described as a ‘dream come true’ for me to brand the entire event for its big return to the Inlet.

The main direction passed down was to incorporate the Inlet’s iconic wave which, on a good day, creates a bulbous barrel shape. It took many renditions and styles to lead me to a logo that was sizeable, versatile, and, most importantly, brandable.

The main goal was to make the logo as versatile as possible. With the amount of assets to be made for the event, I knew the logo needed to be easily applied. Given that the event was taking place on the Space Coast, the direction I chose was to incorporate it into a space mission patch. This helped the logo find its way onto just about everything that was needed.
